How to choose the right BOARD of Examination for my Child?

Confused about which academic board to choose for your child?
Let’s talk about the four boards which we know that is CBSE, ICSE, CAMBRIDGE and IB
After research and study based on the methodology followed, teaching techniques used and the approach the first level derivations are as follows:-
CBSE
It is governed by Indian Government and a board called NCERT. All the curriculum and rules are made under them. It focuses more on Maths and Science, so it is a good option for Engineering and Medical students in India. Students who want to appear for competitive exams like JEE can go for this board. It is also easier for parents who have transferable jobs in India.
ICSE
This board focuses more on English Literature and English Language (they have other subjects as well). They are not much project based. This board gives more in-depth knowledge of subjects than CBSE.  Good choice for parents having transferable jobs within and outside India, as this board has recognition in few other countries as well. Few ICSE schools offer IGCSE from Standard 7th.
FEES STRUCTURE of ICSE, CBSE: Varies between 80,000 – 1,50,000 per annum.
CAMBRIDGE
This board focuses more on project. They take care of the quality of education as the number of schools is less (in comparison to CBSE & ICSE schools). Children are exposed to research and gets in depth knowledge of the subject they choose from 7th Standard. They score better in competitive exams like SAT, GRE, GMAT & IGCSE. Parents who are sure to put their child in foreign universities for graduation or higher studies can go for this board. As it gets difficult for a child to switch later on from Cambridge board to CBSE or ICSE.
IB Board
Like Cambridge board, this board is also project based. Research skills of a child are developed and they are exposed to variety of subjects. They focus more on the Real World Problems, which means this is more practical. So, a child studying under this board is more exposed to the real world.
Common Points for CAMBRIDGE AND IB
Assessment is different from that of CBSE and ICSE. International class learning which means doors open to the world at large for a child.
FEES STRUCTURE of either is: 1,20,000 – 10,00,000 per annum

Hope this blog have given you little clarity concerning which board to select for your young ones. With an understanding that the school you choose can make all the difference in your child’s successful academic career, it is very important to weigh the merits and demerits, and take a calculated decision and pick the best fit.

We wish you the very best of luck!
